The weapon, maybe?

LV spent all that time trying to get hold of the prophesy, hoping it
would provide the weapon to destroy Harry. Not only did he try to
get the orb from the MoM, but it seems clear he was also aware he
could have read it from DD's mind - hence DD not wanting to look
Harry in the eye while Harry still maintained his connection with LV.
I suspect I know what the weapon is - and if LV thought about it, he
could figure it out too! After all, DD says he is aware of the
ancient magic involved - he just underestimates it.
LV cannot harm Harry as long as he returns "home" once a year. But
what if there is no home to return to? I think Umbridge may have
been working for L. Malfoy and the DE on several different levels.
One one level, she was trying to discredit Harry, to keep people from
beliveing that LV had returned. On another level, she tried to get
him expelled gy inciting him to use magic outside school. On a third
level, I think she had the Dementors attack Dudley on purpose - not
Harry. If the prophesy is correct, LV must be the one to destroy
Harry; it's not something someone (or something) else can do for
him. We saw that the Dursleys almost kicked Harry out - who knows
what DD promised if they didn't keep their part of the bargain.
Since Aunt Petunia got the Howler, and clearly understood its
meaning, I suspect there's more to her that we've been led to believe
(she also knows too much about dementors... maybe ONE of their
parents was an exiled wizard?)
I wouldn't be surprised if Petunia is the next one attacked. She is
the key to Harry's protection. Remove her, and Dudley is the last of
his blood relatives - and he won't protect Harry. Maybe Petunia's
rejection of everything Magic is her way of dealing with being a
Squib?
