List: Off-Hand remarks that will mean something in future books

Not really an answer to your message, sorry, but I had to say it :

This is THE passage in the whole book that makes me cry all right !! 
Sure it's unfair and painful that Harry should grow up without his 
parents and with the Dursleys, but it's at least as unfair and 
painful that Neville should have to endure THIS ! When he looks 
around at the others in defiance, my heart breaks and I just wish I 
could give him a very very big hug !!!
Oh, and thumbs up to JKR for her amazing writing talent : "but Harry 
did not think he'd ever found anything less funny in his life" : 
short, concise, simple, straight to the point but remarkably 
effective. In my opinion anyway. I think without that sentence I 
could manage to read the scene without crying, but those few words 
always break me.
