Throughout the books there have been many an off-hand remark that
has
turned out to be a clue to some future event/thing -
So, I started to think of other things that may have a hidden
meaning
and was wondering if we could get together a comprehensive list -
thing's to look out for (and speculate on) in Books 6 & 7.
Here's a few I came up with, I am going to have to re-read the other
4 books to find more that are yet to be brought to light.

Now me... I find this an interesting idea. I started making a list
of certain things. I'm only on PS, but I have about 5 pages worth of
possible clues/ questions, and I'm only on Chapter 13 (and we all
know what usually happens in Chapter 13's)... so yeah... I'll share
what I have put down thus far: (this could become slightly long)

Chapter 1:
- Two owls swooped overhead on Privet Drive 11/1/81

- Midnight (11/2/81) Dumbledore apparates on Privet Drive

- "Twelve times he clicked on the Put-Outer, until the only lights
left in the whole street were two tiny pinpricks in the distance,
which were the eyes of the cat watching him."
-- To me, 12's are used to predict stuff. We did see the Put-Outer
again in book five, but the 2 pinpricks of light from the CAT'S eyes
could be some forshadowing about either 2 people (Harry and Neville,
Harry and Voldemort, or Neville and Voldemort).

- Dumbledore wore a violet cloak McGonagall wore an emerald green
cloak.
-- I've noticed that wizards will wear violet or purple, and
witches will wear green, or emerald green. Check it out for
yourself. I have yet to see another color put on someone else. Yule
Ball doesn't count. Neither does Professor Lockhart.

- "All day? When you could have been celebrating? I must have passed
a DOZEN feasts and parties on my way here." - Dumbledore
-- Like I said 12 predicts stuff. It is my personal belief that
Voldemort will be conquered, and there will be much to celebrate in
the future.

- Dumbledore has a scar about his LEFT knee which is a perfect map
of the London Underground
-- I'm not sure if we will see this again or if we have seen it. I
put this down as a reference to LEFT and RIGHT. I've noticed that
Left is mentioned for good stuff, and Right is mentioned for bad
stuff. Or it's vice versa. I haven't really looked much into this
one.

Chapter 2
- Dudley had 36 presents (3x12=36) then 37 (+ 1 from Aunt Marge).
-- We actually meet Aunt Marge in Book 3. I'm getting this from 3,
times the 12 (which predicts stuff), then you get 36. The 3 in front
of it tells me that we will see it in book 3.

Chapter 3
- Scabbers bit Goyles finger/knuckle on the train.
-- Why did Scabbers/ Pettigrew bite Goyle in the first place? I'm
guessing JKR was making us try to notice fingers and the such, but
still.

- McGonagall is wearing her emerald green robes again.

Chapter 4
- 142 staircases at Hogwarts
-- Thought I'd mention it. *smile*

- Fang bounded straight at Ron and started licking his EARS.
-- Either Fang is a loveable boarhound, or JKR is making
references towards ears...

Chapter 5
- Malfoy has an EAGLE OWL

- Neville has a BARN OWL

- There were 20 broomsticks for the flying lessons.
-- Does that mean that there are 10 Slytherins, and 10 Gryffindors
that are all in the same year?

- Madam Hooch and Professor McGonagall "barked" orders
  -- Dog references (Sirius, Fluffy)

- Harry is the youngest house player in a century 1991 - 1891
-- Who was the youngest house player in 1891?

- 12:00 am duel with Malfoy.
-- Harry duels 'for real' with Voldemort.

- Hermione knows a lot about Switching Spells
-- What exactly is going on with the Switching Spells? I know it
was talked about breifly in one of the books, but all I can remember
is Neville switching his EARS... that's about it.

Chapter 10
- 6 SCREECH OWLS carried Harry's broom and another owl (screech?)
dropped a letter on the parcel (making the grand total 7 owls)

- Charlie Weasley could have played for England if he didn't go off
chasing dragons -- Oliver Wood

- Troll was 12 feet tall

Chapter 13
- Filch was putting bandages on Snape's leg
-- If wizards can heal anything without using Muggle techniques,
then why was Filch putting bandages on Snape's leg in the first
place? My guess it was probably the bite from the dog, but that's
all I got.

- Dean is good at drawing

- Flint (Slytherin) is flying like an 'eagle' -- commentary from Lee
Jordan

- It is said by Hagrid that 'Snape wouldn't try and kill a student'

Something else I have thought about...
- 3 heads on the dog... in book 3 we do meet another dog, a.k.a.
Sirius.

All right, that's all I got I'm not finished yet though. It takes
awhile to read through and pick up on every little detail. I had
more written down, but I stuck to the 'predicting' stuff. I have
written down a small little outline of the events that took place
the night before, during, and after when Harry was brought to Privet
Drive. Anyone else can feel free to add to this list if they want to
or share any thoughts that they have, but otherwise I'm still
working on it! *smiles*
