Me: Hummm Harry asks her this very question and she said. "Skiing
isn't really my thing." Hermione doesn't like sports. Her parents
were going skiing.
Rememrber she told Harry "Don't tell Ron, I told him it was great
because he was making fun of it." I also think that she is becoming
more magical and she must be finding it hard to be around her parents.
Here she is this goody-goody smarty pants and *really* knows all
these great spells, but she can't talk to her parents about it. As
they are Muggles and there are things she *can't* share. She has
joined a secret order and she must be having a really hard time
talking to her parents about anything. It's like teen misunderstood
times 10.
In that way she is kind of like Harry no parents to turn to re: the
Wizarding World.
I'm not saying that Cindy isn't right that DD just wants all of
Harry's friends close by, because he is upset, feeling violated,
feeling alone... on and on. This is just a different thought.
