Tonks' first name also comes from the Greek. The nymphs are female
spirits of nature who had the divine power of changing the shape of
things and were often the nurses of the gods (another hint?).
(Ref: http://homepage.mac.com/cparada/GML/NYMPHS.html) Does anyone
know what "dora" means in Greek?

Given the discussion about family connections (in the book, not
here – *g*), I think these are going to be important in the next
books. IMO, a connection between Harry and Draco is too obviously
ironic for JKR to use, especially with the Weasley/Malfoy link. I
do think we will find out about some relative(s) of Harry's that
he/we don't know about but have probably already met – maybe another
half-blood or muggle-born (and I don't think it is Hermione). I am
also interested in the Weasley/Malfoy connection.
