FLINT or Harry's Defiance?

Just wondering if this was a *very minor* mistake, or just Harry 
defying Snape...

At the end when Harry says to Snape that he was "just thinking about 
what curse to use on Malfoy, sir..." (love that line btw), Snape 
tells Harry to put his wand away at once.  Then, when McGonagall 
comes back in and awards points, etc., she tells him to go outside 
because its a nice day.  Then, the books states that Harry "pockets 
his wand."  So, did he just not listen to Snape when he told him to 
put his wand away?
