It seems to me by reading all these posts that a majority of the
characters in HP are gay. Lets see, we have: Sirius, Remus,
Dumbledore, Harry, Voldemort, Snape, Grubbly-Plank, Tonks, etc. etc.
etc.

Me -

No more than all of the characters are going to turn evil (people speculate
about that all the time) - Ron, Percy, Neville etc etc.

JK will probably mention in Book 6 how Sirius was in love with a
woman but she was killed in the Order. I would do it if I were her
also, because this subject is getting talked to death and if she read
these posts (which she probably does) she probably would get tired of
it. Oh, everyone points out every little detail in every book, "see,
look here, Remus looked at Sirius, he's gay" hmm... "James hung
Snape upside down, he's definitely gay."

I don't think anyone has used the word definitely since it's all just
*harmless* speculation. And frankly if she decided to make a character
rampantly hetrosexual for no reason other than because people had speculated
that he (or she) was gay I think I'd lose all respect for her. I seriously
doubt she does read these posts (the woman has a busy life after all and we
are very chatty) but if she does I hope she wouldn't be bigoted enough to go
into a panic and write in love interests at random just to avoid any
suggestion of *gasp* homosexuality in the books.

Unless Sirius had a girlfriend who turns out to be a DE and part of the
reason he and Remus distrusted one another I can't see that his sexuality
will be relevent to the books and therefore I doubt it'll be mentioned.

Besides if Sirius does turn out to have had a girlfriend before he got sent
to prison it's clearly just cover for his relationship with Remus - totally
obviously darling (tongue firmly in cheek here in case you hadn't noticed)
