Actually this is a perfect set up for Ron's jealousy to take hold and 
break the trio considering that Harry will probably become Prefect 
next year and resume  his position as seeker which could take away 
all the attention and glory that Ron has gotten use to and make him 
jealous of his best friend, who he could perceive as the one who is 
destroying his dreams of outshadowing his brothers.
