>>This post has managed to intensify my interest in this thread. The evolution of inspiration from the divine source. In 2003 HP the divine source will seek out new geniuses to rebuild the pillars of the way of Liberation, just as in 1990 a literary master such as JK Rowling was, and 2000 years previous was St Paul etc.
Amazingly profound wisdom Hans. I am glad you pointed this out.<<

After I first uttered my theory that HP is an alchemical way of liberation, I complained there wasn't enough response. To my great joy I have to say that there have been so many responses that I can't keep up with them.
I want to thank M. Clifford so much for this response. Not just because she agrees with me but because she has added insight to what I said. I feel sure that HP is loved by so many hundreds of millions not just because it's a great story. My theory is that the Original Spirit (call it God, call it Tao, call it what you like) is making a great call for his children to return to him. We are all muggles. The Potter of the universe has been sending owls to us for millennia but we've hammered all the entrances to our heart shut. Now in this post "nine eleven" period that humanity is finding itself on an isolated island in the sea of bloodshed and almost universal suffering, the message is coming through. It takes a giant to ram in the door, but we're getting the message!

[...] I see instead another group of lessons that have not even begun to fulfill their potential. Dumbledores Army. Harry is a leader in OoP and his potential in that role is displayed. But Harry has not achieved the full arc of the leadership role.<<

Thank you for that. I think we have to see HP on two scales: on the personal level, and on the world level. To use jargon: on both the microcosmic and cosmic level. In other words, when we go the alchemical Path of Liberation, Harry and all the other main characters are aspects within ourselves. However HP also describes a process the whole of humanity goes through. When the Great Call comes to humanity there are always people who react to that call very strongly. A powerful effect of that reaction is that they are filled with great compassion for suffering humanity and so they are given the task of forming a group of people seeking liberation. One need only have a look at history to find that view confirmed. Note how Harry didn't initiate the idea of DA himself! That is the Jupiter initiation on the Path of Liberation. And as you say, Harry's task has only just begun.
Recently there was a post from someone who said that she loved Harry as much as any living human being of flesh and bone. Well I'm sure she's not the only one. There are probably many millions. Why? Because Harry and his boundless compassion is the archetype of the selfless, self-sacrificing liberator who has appeared in the flesh repeatedly in world history. Look at people like Prince Gautama, Mani, Apollonius of Thyana, Krishna, Moses, Jesus of Nazareth. These are the great Jupiter leaders who form armies to fight Voldemort and return to the Father of Lights. The Gnostics ("The Knowers") called such a group "The Thirteenth Aeon". I'm sure JK Rowling is making a veiled reference to this in the term "platform 9 and 3 quarters".

I'm sure she will, either in book 6 or 7.
