this is something we can take for granted. Snape did, after all,
tell him to leave his office and never come back again. I know that
this is something that might not be truly meant when said in the heat
of passion. However, as far as I know there is nothing to support
this.

June replies: I think an apology would have been smart too - though
as the mum of a teenager, I am aware that you often wait a long time
for one.
I think also that Snape actually implied a certain respect for Harry
during the Occulumency lessons. By treating his as an equal
opponent - ie not giving him a chance to prepare, very little theory,
straight into practice, hitting him as hard as possible with the
spell - he might have been unpleasant but never patronising. come to
think of it he has always seemed to treat Harry more like an equal
(albeit a highly disliked equal) than a kid. He has never, ever made
any allowances for Harry's age, background etc. It seems to me that
he has been more effective (either consciously or unconsciously) in
preparing Harry mentally for conflicts with LV than many other
teachers.
What do others think - is he surreptitiously grooming Harry against
LV?
