I've tried my darnedest to keep up with the gazillion posts since OOP, only
managing to get thru a fraction of them, but I haven't seen much come up on our
favorite twins, Gred and Forge--is the general consensus that they are
nothing more than comic relief or will their jokeshop contribute to the eventual
downfall of V? I keep getting this image in my head of a mob of DE's being
slipped a bunch of Nosebleed Nougats or Fainting Fancies ---or Canary Cremes--- and
bursting out in feather or dropping like flies in the middle of some crazy
battle<G>....I think it's interesting that Hermione at one point comments on the
uselessness of what they do, yet later shows some interest in how complex the
things really are (sorry, can't find the page numbers). Then there's
Professor Flitwick leaving a portion of their swamp intact with the comment of it
being a fine bit of magic. On the other hand, the twins seemed pretty quick to
blow the cover of the OotP to see their father and were chastised for this as
being the reason they essentially aren't welcome in the Order. All this
attention to their abilities and their actions leaves me looking foreward to their
role in the next two books...or do you think I'll be disappointed?
