Additionally, how many students think about the idea of teachers

teacher in the store or to meet their children?

Really? That seems strange to me. I always thought of my teachers
as having a life outside of school.

My 1st grade teacher mentioned her husband once or twice. My 2nd
grade teacher's youngest son was in the 7th grade (our school was K-
12) that stopped by her classroom about 3 times during the school
year. My 3rd grade teacher had a little boy. My 4th grade teacher
mentioned bother her husband and her children a few time. My 5th
grade teacher teacher mentioned her kids.

Basically, I always knew my teachers existed outside of school and
that many of them had families. The idea that students think their
teachers have no lives outside of being teachers in just foreign to
me.
