My reply:  The only reason why I say that can't be the
case was because I read something once in which Chris
Columbus was sooo excited about doing Aragog.  But if
we do go on the Aragog scene I think more importantly
than anything is not the spider BUT more importantly
the dynamics between Ron and Harry.  Although, Ron was
scared out of his mind..he did not run away..he stood
by Harry.  One of my favorite Ron scenes ever!  

My vote: Now grant you I don't know why this wouldn't
be in the movie but I can't think of too many things
more important than Dobby getting his freedom.  I mean
houseelves in general and the treatment of them is
highly important aspect of the story.
