Um - well, I'm one of the people arguing for a tuition free Hogwarts,
but I don't think this is anywhere near impossible. My father paid my
fees at a very exclusive private school in Australia (it is one of the
most expensive schools in Australia, I'm already saving for any future
sons to go there) for a year, and would have done so for a further four
years if necessary (in the event, I was on a near full scholarship from
my second year which made things much easier.) At the time he was
working as a night watchman, and earned about the same as a milkman. I
had a younger brother and a similar amount was spent on him (out of
fairness). It was an unusual situation - basically my parents had been
told to send me to this particular school or watch me die, which gave
them a much higher than normal incentive to find a way to pay the fees -
but the Creevey's are faced with a pretty unusual situation as well. I'm
not saying everybody could find a way - but it's not impossible.
