Hiya!

I have just one tiny problem with this one viewpoint... thing.
Everyone seems to just accept that Harry has this great and wonderful
love, just because he's working against Voldemort.

Someone brought up that Harry seems to be developing a Sirius-like
moral code, and I can completely agree with that. Harry, like Sirius,
seems to only have compassion and even forgiveness for only people
that he deems worthy. People who are nice to him, or people that he
understands. The point has been made that Snape has saved his life
many times, but because he doesn't like him, he refuses to forgive
him for anything he's done (i.e. the petty, cruel things). He can't
accept that that's just the way Snape is, and that he might just have
a very twisted way of looking at life, but still is trying his best
to do what's right.

Alright, I'll try to make my point now. Most people seem to agree
that true love is unconditional, and this is something that Harry
lacks completely. As Queen put it, "...love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night And loves dares you to change our
way of Caring about ourselves..." Harry is very self-serving, only
showing any sort of humanity or respect to people that he likes.

I think that if he doesn't continue the Occlumency lessons with
Snape, they *will* still have to have some sort of close contact,
because this is a very big hurdle that Harry has to jump, learning to
look past even the most glaring faults and appreciating (I guess
loving) a person despite the fact that they may be "on the edge of
the night" personality-wise.
