Ah now there's the kicker. What if its not special powers but just how
some wizards are?

This is part of a discussion I was having with a few folks at Nimbus
on certain characters. Perhaps he "sees" better because he has the
ability to see glamory and/or charmed items which, essentially that is
what the invisibility cloak is. Snape is another who seems to have
the ability to sense or determined when something isn't quite right
but its not as developed as AD is. We talked about the possibility
that wizards and witches might have a larger "reptilian" brain
(survival area of the brain) which may heighten their "six" sense to
varying degrees that allow some to "see" with eyes wide shut. This is
the same feeling one may get when someone is watching them; you can't
seem them yet but you know you are being watched. I admit however,
this theory is a bit off as we seem to know little about wizard
genetics, how they work and why wizards in general are able to do what
they do while muggles "ordinary" humans can not.

Of course the genetics theory could be that wizarding genes are more
developed than regular folks but in what way I know not. We've seen
the "hiccups" in the wizarding world in the form of Squibs but its the
same in any creature with DNA; you are bound to have some special
cases like the ultra rare but not unheard of white Buffalo or white Deer.

Then again, perhaps AD is a reincarnation of Merlin (just tossing that
out). Me thinks I'd be a bit nervous too if I knew this dude of after me.
