I must agree with this.
The first time I read the book, there was this big tension about what
they were guarding. Then, when I got to the chapter called 'the lost
prophecy', I thought, well, the prophecy was lost. But Dumbledore had
it in his head the whole time.
I was pretty mad.
I let the whole 'why didn't Voldemort make Harry's toothbrush a portkey'
thing slide, because, I thought it was a minor dumb move, and, with
stretching the imagination, there were some reasons to catch Harry at
the Triwiz Tournament.
Not this time.
Either having Harry retrieve the prophecy, or having the order go there
and destroy it, is just to straight forward a solution. The only reason
it seems the order kept things a secret and didn't do this is so there
would be a plot to this book. That doesn't cut it for me.
