I'm sure that no party will convince the other, but...

Was Hermione/Viktor really a relationship (or love?). He asked her, she liked him so she agreed to meet with him. I don't think they ever kissed, holded hands or something like that. That was not love -- not even by Harry/Cho standard.

If anybody was in love in 4th book, it was Ron.

Now, taking literally what JKR said is leading us astray. She said: "Everyone is in love with the wrong people." and: "They're all kind of after the wrong people, as in life." There is huge difference between "in love" and "after the wrong people (kind of)". Those two sentences are mutually exclusive.

I argued above that in book 4 there was no *real* love. Given that, by "in love" JKR meant "different stages of boy/girl relations", we can safely assume that she meant: R/Fleur, H/Cho, Hermione/Victor.



On the related note. Could you imagine an impact on Ron if he would be 
dump by Hermione? I mean, such events are most common reason for male 
suicides...
