Hi Ann
Yes Ron saw fame and glory in the Mirror, and Harry his family. Their 
deepest desires. But lets not forget, Ron had the will an resolution 
to walk away from that vision. Her instinctively recognized the 
danger of its seduction and forced himself to stay away.
So why should he show any less resolution in the face of any 
forthcoming temptation?
Besides Ron has a lot of pride, people who sell out their friend for 
money are not usually known for their self respect are they?
