Snapes as killer?

I tend to doubt that Snape was ever a killer.  I doubt that DD would 
trust him as much as he does if he had killed anyone.  I think Snape 
just got "mixed" into the dream, largely because Harry associated him 
with the pain in his scar.  In an earlier post, which I'm too lazy to 
track down just now, someone else established that Quirrel's turban 
was turned to Harry at the time he had the pain, but he was looking 
at Snape.  I think Snape just got the part of bad guy in the dream 
because of that association.

For my two knuts, I think Snape just wants somebody to acknowledge 
his role in saving Harry.  He wants somebody, somewhere, to pay 
attention to what he has done/is doing on Harry's behalf.  And nobody 
cares, least of all Harry himself.  It seems that guy just can't get 
*no* respect.
