I know nothing stands out as evidence that Hermione WANTS to become
an animagus. Obviously, I am speculating on something she may be
thinking about/working on in secret. It's just like JKR to throw in
a surprise element like that. It's only a thought that I had about
Hermione, and I believe that there are some canonical clues in all
four books that COULD point to the POSSIBILITY. I really didn't want
to go through all four books and try to list the stuff that I think
could support the theory. I don't believe it is as far fetched as
you say it is. We are all only speculating here, as no one has the
authority to completely discount other people's predictions. It's
all in good fun...
