I loved in G.O.F. chapter thirty-two Flesh,Blood and Bone.
The description of Voldemort befoe he goes into the cauldron.
"It was as though Wormtail flipped over a stone and revealed
something ugly, slimy,and blind-but worse, a hundred times worse.The
thing Wormtail had been carring had the shape of a crouched human
child, except that Harry had never seen anything less like a child.
It was hairless and scaly-looking,a dark, raw, reddish black. Its arms
and, legs were thin and feeble, and its face-(snip) flat and
snakelike,with gleaming red eyes."
If Hollywood made this creature it would be terrifying.
The whole chapter is good. Harry helpless tied to the stone,
bits of bone rising out of the ground at his feet. Wormtail chopping
off his own hand. (A surprising show of bravery in my opinion.)
Wormtails fear and, revulsion of the thing as he carried, while we
can assume bleeding heavily, and drops it in the cauldron.
Think of the tension, fear, and evil in the air. Great stuff!
