Ah! Thanks for the further info about banshees, bboy_mn! I am
thinking that maybe during Voldemort's reign of terror, Seamus's
family/parents knew someone who was killed by a banshee (because I am
thinking that the banshees were part of the dark side along with
dementors and giants). And that was Seamus's boggart because he has
heard his parents talking about how bad it was. Maybe the person was
very close to the Finnigan family, which is why a banshee is what is
was most afraid of when Lupin had the boggart lesson. Also, Finnigan
sounds like an Irish/Scottish name to me...so it would seem that the
(Celtic) banshees would be native magical creatures to where the
Finnigans are from... just some thoughts.
