Local festivities -- in other states!

The Boston Globe featured a front-page article about the book's release on its 
front page today -- illustrated with a tantalizing photograph of stacks of boxes 
of the precious tomes.  I read it eagerly, since I still haven't decided which 
bookstore to be at at midnight tomorrow.

How disappointing!  The article contains amusing descriptions of festivities in 
other states (including a railroad station being dressed up to look like King's 
Cross) but almost nothing about local activities.

It's also rife with errors, ranging from book-related nonsense like  "There's one 
more book to come in the series . . . . "  and "the first volume, ''Harry Potter and 
the Sorcerer's Stone,'' was published in 1998" to fundamentally stupid 
statements like "most of the captive owls in America will be up late tomorrow." 
Duh, owls are nocturnal!
