I cannot help but notice the similarities between the climax of
PS/SS and the climax of OotP.

Both Harry and his ínner circle' pass through seven rooms, people
falling away as Harry continues, ending in a confrontation between
Harry alone, and Voldemort with one of his loyal supporters, where
Harry is rescued by Dumbledore, and the power of love.

In PS/SS, we have:

Harry, Ron and Hermione enter

1) The entrance chamber, guarded by Fluffy

and then

2) The Devil's Snare

and then

3) The Keys

and then

4) The Chessboard

where Ron is knocked out. Harry and Hermione continue to

5) The Troll

and then

6) The Potions Puzzle

where Hermione must turn back, leaving Harry alone. He continues to

7) The Mirror

where Harry meets Quirrell first, and then Voldemort. He stops them
by the power of his Mother's love, and is rescued by Dumbledore.

In OotP, we have:

Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Neville in

1) The Hall of Prophecies

where the fight starts. Harry, Neville and Hermione flee to

2) The Time Room

where Hermione is zapped (in an adjoining office). They make their
way (bringing Hermione) to

3) The Door Room

where Ron, Ginny and Luna rejoin Harry, Neville and Hermione. They
had been in

4) The Universe Room

where Ron had been injured and Ginny had broken her ankle. All flee
to

5) The Brain Room

where Luna is knocked out, Ginny is Stunned and Ron is ensnared by a
Brain. Leaving Neville behind with Hermione, Harry goes to

6) The Death Chamber

where Harry is eventually rejoined by Neville, and then Sirius,
Remus, Moody, Tonk and Kingsley. Dumbledore arrives, just before
Sirius is killed. Harry chases Lestrange through the Brain Room and
the Door Room to

7) The Atrium

where Harry confronts Lestrange, before Voldemort and then
Dumbledore shows up. Harry finally stops Voldemort's possessing him
by his feelings of love towards Sirius.

What does it mean? I do not know, but it may not be a coincidence
that there will be seven books in total, in the HP series.
