Me : You see, now I live in london and I have never EVER come across 
anyone saying 'wotcher'. It sounds very Dick Van Dyck in Mary Poppins 
to me and a bit too much like a clumsy attempt to 'keep it 
real'.    :-)    In fact, that was one of the irritating bits of the 
book for me, that and the fact that she was called 'Tonks'.
