I agree, and not just because Ron is my favorite character :) This 
book was overwhelmed with Harry's increasing self absorbsion. (sp?)  
It does seem perfectly in character and appropriate for his age and 
circumstances, but it made the book more claustrophobic somehow.

As someone who supports the Ron/Hermione ship - not sure if this is 
the place to talk about it - I was really interested to learn more 
about how their friendship has changed and matured.  And what were 
they doing when Harry interupted them at the Headquarters of the 
OOTP when he arrived over the summer ? :)
