I disagree. I still think that Snape and Draco are very much alike,
and I don't think that Snape's memory tells us everything about
James' personality. Snape DID come to Hogwarts knowing more curses
and jinxes than anyone in seventh year (Lupin told us this in PoA).
And he did try to jinx James whenever he got a chance (Sirius and
Lupin tell us this in OoP). We did get an insight into how Snape
felt, but I think this is how Draco would feel. Don't the trio jinx
Draco in a similar way that James does to Snape? The trio does get
a kick out of everything bad that happens to the Slytherin gang,
just like the Marauders get a kick out of being mean to Snape. And
Ron does think it's OK to be mean to Malfoy for basically being
Malfoy, just like James does to Snape. Ron always says that Draco
is a git and deserves whatever he gets. Ron's basically saying that
it's OK to torment Draco since he's Drace. James is more upfront,
and says he torments Snape just b/c he's alive and is Snape. I
think that Harry will finally understand that treating Draco as he
does, no matter if Draco deserves it, is plain mean. I think Harry
will finally realize that anyone can feel humiliated, regardless of
the reasons behind the humiliation. And the people humiliated will
view the humiliators as arrogant @sses.

I actually think that Ron is very similar to James, not Harry. Ron
goes along with whatever Harry (or the twins) do, much like James
does with Sirius. And Ron did rumple his hair to make it windblown,
just like James does. He likes being the center of attention (again
like James), and shows off when others are looking. He enjoys
tormenting Draco, just because Draco is Draco. Harry, on the other
hand, is definitely his mother's son. He doesn't get a kick out of
humiliating people (with the exception of the Slytherin gang), and
is probably more like James after James started dating Lily. And
Lily did smile when she saw Snape in the air, but just didn't like
that ANYONE should be treated like that, even if she disliked them.

Just my 2 knuts worth.
Sarah
