Me:
DD doesn't really make a big deal about protecting the prophecy. He
and the order only go to the Department of Mysteries to rescue the
kids. The other members of the order who run into trouble with LV are
basicaly pawns, chosen because they aready know that LV's back and
therefor pose no risk of alerting more people to his return.
The people who make a big deal about the prophecy are Neville and
Harry, mainly because they dont know what it says or who knows it. DD
tells the prophecy to Harry because Harry needs to know, if only so
that he wont go to drastic measures to find out later. DD only cares
about it to the extent that it could effect Harry. He knew that LV
wanted it, and would try to make Harry get it.
Less vital to DD is the fact that if only Harry/Neville can kill LV,
he doesn't have to fear death at DD's hands - But as DD says, there
are other ways to destroy a man. Just ask the Longbottoms.
