In complete defence of Snape, I agree with your post completely.
Targeting someone simply becuase they were born, is the most
disgusting bullying that I can think of. And they were bullying him.
He was minding his own business, and they attacked and provoked him,
while he was outnumbered. I am absolutely disgusted. And now I love
Snape even more then before, becuase of this. None of his memories
were remotely happy. Remember the memory of his father screaming at
his mother? No wonder he hates Sirius so much, I do too! The man is
a complete hypocrite, and very impulsive, which is not a good thing.

I understand why Snape is favouring Draco now. I don't think that it
is only becuase Draco is Lucius's son, I think is trying to relive his
days at Hogwarts as a student through Draco, and he is letting Draco
do what he wanted to do to 'Potter' - that is, what James and Sirius
did to him...

Also, they were bullying him because of his physical appearance as
well. It's very shallow and arrogant behaviour. And I can't understand
why Harry can't seethis. He does a bit, but it still doesn't improve
his relationship with Snape at all.
