Rereading that chapter, JKR seemed to be making an effort to 
associate Red with "Stupify!"  Everytime someone did Stupify, it 
seemed Red light shot from their wand.  Since Sirius was hit with red 
light and took a long time to fall (as if stunned?) I suspected it 
was stupify.  (JKR also mentioned that a spell is less effective when 
done silently, re:Hermione, does this have anything to do w/Sirius' 
death, since it was silent, I don't know.)

We read the book aloud as a family over the weekend & yesterday (my 
voice is hoarse!) and we all were disappointed to see HP go back to 
Hogwarts!  It felt like two different books, and we couldn't help but 
wonder what was going on with OOP whilst everyone was stuck with 
Umbridge.  Tho the F&G escape was brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed!
