 4. Why does the Ministry let people in so easily? (I'm referring to the midnight run at the end of the book, of course.)Actually, I found that to be one of the most charming and hilarious moments
of the book, showing that when magic gets "automized" (it's clear that it's
not really a witch at the other end of the telephone, but some kind of
recording instead), funny things happen.  Just like in the Muggle world,
things don't always work perfectly in the magical world.   I LOVE the badges
that say "rescue mission" on them!  Do you think they put them on?

As for the Death Eaters, well, presumably they apparated.

I never introduced myself, though this is now my second post.  I'm a 39 year
old college professor (medieval history), and am delighted to have found
adults to discuss all this with!  My husband was getting tired of it all
(already!)
