I agree she does seem older in this book, more mature perhaps is a
better way to say it; however what I see her doing seems more of what
a sister might do for her brother, so perhaps in her coming of age
she is seeing him as the other members of the Weasley have for a
while, as a member of the family rather then she did in CoS as
someone to someday date.
Or could it be she is more mature and instead of childhood crush on
Harry, Ginny tries to get him to see her in a new light, show her
interest to him in a way she was unsure of how to do before, yet now
as she is maturing she has become better able to control her emotions
around him and show her interest by supporting him.
Which is perhaps more likely?
