Hey. I was reading the posts discussing 'Snape's Worst Memory' when a thought
came to me.

Ok...In GoF Sirius says Snape "was part of a gang of Slytherins who all
turned out to be death eaters". However, in OOP we see Snape quite alone.

I think this is a very interesting insight into Snape. It makes me think
he's part of a group, but still a loner. I can imagine him going around with the
other Slytherins...bullying some kids...then going off to sulk without any
explaination.

Or!

Was he always part of the 'gang'? Maybe he was taken in? I've always thought
of Snape as someone who doesn't care what anyone thinks. I can see him
getting a 'strength in numbers' attitude and going a gang for the soul purpose of
besting James and company, but not feeling any real attachment to the gang.

Or maybe the whole loner thing is only a front and what he really needs is
LOVE! ^^
