You know Marc, that was the first thing I thought, too. Snape yelling
at Lily to get out of the house to rescue herself or something. But
then this definitely can't be. First of all, Baby Harry, was well,
just a baby. So how could he sit in a corner and cry? He'd be more
likely in his little bed sleeping. Second reason: Lily doesn't seem
to be a submissive character. I just can't imagine her "cowering"
while Snape was shouting at her. More likely she'd just shout back or
(better) put a charm ( which her wand was very good for, SS) or hex
on him to stop shouting.
I just think Snape was a mistreated child, the poor thing :)
magicalme (who greatly supports Snape and thinks that being terribly
humiliated in front of the whole school at age fifteen by the coolest
people in the school may well be the very worst memory, well the most
humiliating anyway)
