Me: In SS (Uk Paperback p. 65) Ollivander states "I remember every
wand I've ever sold, Mr Potter. Every single wand. It so happens that
the phoenix whose tail feather is in your wand, gave another feather -
just one other." Well and that's the one in Voldie's wand. The wands
matter for one reason, that Voldie can't AK Harry if Harry casts a
spell at the same time as Voldie, because the wands then connect and
neither spell works.
Agree, that Nevill will do better with an own wand, and that he's got
loads of potential.

Me: What mark did Voldie give to Neville then, I wonder. Maybe we'll
get to know in books 6 or 7...

ME: Harry's wand is NOT the same as Voldie's. They share the same
core, but Harry's is phoenix feather, holly, 11 inches and Voldie's
is phoenix feather, yew, 13.5 inches. They're of different wood and
length and that makes a difference, otherwise all the wands would be
made of the same wood and have the same length.

Snip

Me: Don't think Neville will be the hero, they're the Harry Potter
series and not the Neville Longbottom series. I'm sure however that
Neville will have some very important parts to play yet.
