Sue B:

Honestly, guys, what do you want? Poor Molly. Not only does she have
all
that pressure on her, the fear of her family dying (and it's only
luck that
nobody in her family does!), not only, in OOTP, does she have to go
on guard
duty like everyone else, but she still has to make everyone's dinner
and clean
the house! And we're talking, here, about SIRIUS's house - shudder!

And to be blunt, I can understand her attitude to the twins. True,
they end up
okay, but how would you feel if your kids, whom you knew were bright,
mucked around at school (a school whose fees I suspect are among the
things keeping the Weasleys poor)? You'd want to thump them! I know
if Fred
and George were my kids, I'd want to sock them one. And Sirius in
OOTP
was sullen, depressed, rude - understandable, but in some ways, an
extension of what he was. Lupin would have put up with it. She was
right
about Sirius.

I guess it's easier for me to understand Molly, because I have a
Jewish
mother (a wonderful one!). Molly is the WW equivalent of the Jewish
mother. ;-)
