I think that's true in retrospeck.  In other words, you can look back and
say that for every person who died.  Unfortunately, though, you can also say
it for a number of living people.

Take Snape for instance...  JKR has emphasized his negative traits since
book one, and he's still around.  Ditto for Petunia, Dudley and Vernon.  And
let's not forget the Malfoys, Crabbe and Goyle, and Mundungus.  In all these
cases, she shows the positive *and* negative of each person.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you could say this about anyone.  If
Lucius were to die in book 6, you could say she had emphasized his negative
traits in book 5.  I don't think it's a hint; rather, I think she's just
developing real characters, and she does it for all of them.
