I meant that it was possible that DD had authorised its use on the
*spiders* and so, when he heard about a demonstration of the
Unforgivables, did not realise that the demonstration he had ordered
was going so much further than he intended that students were being
demonstrated on. I'm sorry if I was unclear. I am open to the idea
that DD might have intended the whole thing (hence my second point)
but think it far more likely he would have been horrified to know
the whole truth.
