I think it even more telling that the people who Harry did not want 
to take with him to the MoM were the least injured and the last ones 
standing.  He obviously underestimated all of them.  As far as Nevill 
is concerned, I believe he needed to be there in the end so that he 
could finally face the person who basically killed his parents in 
order to come into his own power.  His father's wand destroyed, his 
magical confidence bulstered by a year of the DA and surviving the 
events of the MoM, I bet Neville is ready to tell his story sometime 
in year six.
