Snape joining Hogwarts

Hitesh:
It is indeed far-fetched to assume that one would know the teachers in
one's former school. But at that time Snape was a presumed DE and/or a
spy for Dumbledore, while Sirius was a member of the Order of the
Phoenix (under Dumbledore). Surely Sirius would have known about the
whereabouts of the various DEs, especially when a DE joined a school
whose head was also the leader of the Order.

Of course there is no doubt that Snape switched sides before Voldy's
downfall. The question is whether he joined Hogwarts before or after
the defeat of Voldemort. Perhaps he joined Hogwarts to maintain
contacts with former DEs while persuading them that he was positioning
himself as an insider DE at Hogwarts. I obviously think that Snape
switching sides was genuine and that he will remain loyal to the Order.
