This is my first post, so forgive any errors in etiquette.
In regards to the above quote, and to someone who wanted to know the
odds on seeing Lethifolds in the next book, and someone who said that
Dementors aren't listed in FBAWTFT, I think Dementors ARE Lethifolds.
There is a suspiciously long description, for one thing, which suggests
they are important. Dementors have long cloaks, and Lethifolds are
described as gliding shadows. I think the Dementor cloaks are
Lethifolds, perhaps on a vertical frame. The description talks about
cold, which also comes from Dementors. Lethifolds are countered by a
Patronus charm, like Dementors. The only thing we know about dementors
that we don't know about Lethifolds is that they cause despair and
unhappy memories to surface. Lethifolds are found in the tropics, but
that doesn't mean that someone may not have moved them, perhaps whoever
set up Azkaban.
Changing the subject completely, there was a question about food, and
Molly Weasley producing white sauce from her wand. I think that the
other food was real, purchased or homegrown and she prepared it either
by magic or by hand. However, she was probably stretching as much as
she could. The cream sauce wasn't real, it was intended to add some
flavor to a pretty sparse table, even though it would evaporate from
the system afterward, so to speak.
