Good point about the house-elves making special meals for Snape 
(perhaps very, very, raw meat?), but all Vampire theories aside, can 
you see a non-Vampire Snape wanting to eat at Grimmauld Place? I 
can't see Snape wanting to sit at eat with the company of Molly, 
Lupin, Fred, George, Hermione, Ron, (Harry, later on), and Sirius 
Black of all people, no matter *how* hungry he might be.
