Arya writes --------Hmm, you've got me thinking now.... Say Harry
goes back in time and ends up
defeating Voldemort for good before any Potters are killed and
changes his own
timeline so that he grows up completely normal, with both parents and
in a world free
of Voldemort (and without a scar)?
---------------

But if our adult Harry goes back to save Baby Harry and his parents
and they are saved then there is no reason for that adult Harry to go
back and save his parents. He would never have lived with the
Dursley's, he wouldn't be the same person. There is the problem with
time travel. If we wanted to go back and kill Hitler before his rise
to power and we did that then in the future there would be no reason
to go back and kill Hitler. It creates a paradox.
