Why does Ron have a crush on Hermione? She's "plain" looking, so
it's not her looks. It's not jealousy since Harry hasn't shown
interest in her (or vice versa). Her main character traits seem to
be that she is bookish and bossy — why would he be attracted to
that? She has proven herself to be brave and talented on their
adventures with Harry — but is that all?

You're kidding right? If you ask me Hermione is a pretty impressive
witch! Think of all that she has accomplished in 5 years. She saved
Harry and Ron many times alone with her keen intelligence. She is
100 times better than Malfoy will ever be, and she has muggle
parents! (Why do you think Malfoy hates her so much?!)

She also happens to be pretty -- according to HARRY. Remember what
Harry thought of her when he saw her at the ball?! Keep in mind that
she no longer has buck teeth, and frizzy hair is an easy fix.

The real question is: what does Hermione see in Ron? (Don't get me
wrong, I like Ron. In fact, I think Ron is going to grow up and
become quite formidable in book 6 and 7.) I think Hermione sees a
lot in Ron as well.
