But they can, especially when they aren't quite a "man",
yet, and a bit clueless about girls ;)

Also, I don't really get the feeling that Luna adores Ron
all that much, nor do I see Ron being interested in her in
the slightest, wether she's pretty or not.

I agree that Ron is maturing some, and is beginning to get
adjusted to his hormones, but I don't see anything that
would make Hermione feel she could be losing Ron to somebody
else, at this point.

She is not very nice to Luna, probably more for personal
differences, and not because Luna says a couple of nice
things to Ron.

I do think Hermione is trying to not fall for Ron, probably
because her intellectual side doesn't deem him "good enough"
(like so many readers <g>), but has a hard time winning that
fight with herself.

Just like Ron is learning that looks aren't everything when
it comes to liking a girl, maybe Hermione is learning that not
every guy needs to be an outright hero with spot on
reasoning, to be "deserving" of love.
