Why DD might not want Snape for DADA job

I keep reading posts about Snape applying to the DADA
job and why doesn't he get it.  (I apologise if this
has been written before, but, as of yet, I haven't
come across a post saying so.)

Anyway, it is theorized that that DADA job is cursed. 
No one stays longer than a year.  So, my thought is,
maybe it really IS cursed, and DD knows this.  Since
Snape is a member of the order and is extremely useful
to have around, DD doesn't want to risk loosing him by
putting him in the DADA job.

Just a thought.
