But you snipped the most important bit of that quote....

It was Dumbledore's intervention that saved Harry.
Read the incident in PS as a comparison....
"Ron turned the binoculars back on Harry. His broom was vibrating so
hard it was almost impossible for him to hang on much longer. the

flew up to try and pull Harry safely on to one of their brooms but if

Sounds as if they're pretty worried if he comes off his broom.....
