what to do.

Mandy here:
But the question raised was; Was it unusual for Draco, a 12-year-old
wizard, to conger the Serpensortia spell? I was arguing that it was
not, as there would have been a stir from the kids if it was.

You point out that the stir that occurred most likely came from the
appearance of a snake in the room, not how it got there, and I agree
with you. I also agree that Harry's Parceltongue overshadowed
everything else that happened in that class that day. But I still do
not think it is usual for the Serpensortia spell to come from the
mouth of a 12-year-old wizard. What Snape did was put the idea in
Draco mind to use it, he didn't tell Draco how to do it.

Whether Snape did this deliberately because he or DD had suspicions
about Harry being a Parceltongue? Who knows? I wouldn't be at all
surprised if either DD, or Snape, or both did it to deliberately out
Harry's unusual power.
