I think one surprise was followed by second surprise, and the second 
was a whopper!  Yes, I think it is unusual for a 12 year old to be 
able to perform serpensortia.  My questions are: Who taught him, 
Snape or Lucius? (I think it would have been Lucius.)  Was Snape also 
trying to show Potter how skilled Draco is in a controlled situation 
where Snape could save Potter?(that is: be careful)
